Event Calendar
July 2005 - Began the Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition Program again. Great !!
July 2005 - Continue building stakeholder group to develop a plan for a multi-tribal cultural gathering. Workshops, artist in residence, 3 day cultural events over a six year period.
August 2005 - Continue a Resource Catalog.
November 2005 - Elder's Get-Together @ Chief Lieschi School
Meetings
BOD and Executive Director will continue developing relationships with neighboring tribes.
Development Officer will colloborate with neighboring Tribes, Thurston County Procecutor's Office, Thurston County Food Bank, and Area Office on Aging and Adult Services.
BOD meets with Domestic Violence Coalition.
We will file reports on grants received.
General Information
We are a tax exempt organization. Donations made to Northwest Urban Indian Community are tax deductible. Donations of equipment, office supplies, transportation, consumable canned goods, and even some cash are gratefully accepted. Feel free to donate HUGE sums of cash. We will provide you with a receipt for your IRS filing.
We have received a grant award for capacity building from DOJ Office of Crime Victim's Advocacy - HOPE. Implementing the work.
We will submit proposals to fund our next Elder's Get Together.

If you are an Urban Indian within the south Puget Sound, Western Washington area, feel welcome with us. “Urban Indians” are enrolled Alaska Natives or American Indian people living anyplace but their own home village/reservation and who are not receiving services, of enjoying the benefits of tribal programming where they are enrolled.
